Not at all. Learn to Meditate starts with short, simple practices and builds gradually. You’ll learn techniques that work with your mind and body so meditation becomes practical, achievable, and genuinely effective.
Each session is 45 minutes once a week, with simple daily practices of just a few minutes in between. These short, manageable exercises are designed to reduce stress, help you feel calmer, and carry more energy through your day without adding extra pressure.
Recordings are available for two weeks after each session so you can catch up at your own pace. Attending live when you can is encouraged because practising with others, reflecting together, and sharing accountability adds extra depth and support to your learning.
This course was originally designed for the London Ambulance Service, where stress is high and time is limited. You’ll learn practical, flexible techniques that fit into your life, and I’ll guide you step by step to embed them so that by the end of eight weeks you’ll have a personal practice that sticks and supports you every day.
You don’t need to switch off your thoughts to meditate. In this course you’ll learn how to calm your mind by bringing awareness to your body and breath, working with your energy rather than fighting it. This makes meditation feel natural and achievable, even if your mind is busy.
All you need is access to Zoom, a quiet space, and a chair or the floor. No equipment or prior experience is required.
